Timeless, Island Grove, Florida

Background

Island Grove was established in the early 1880s. The town had a school house, two churches, a grocer, and a railroad stop. Citrus was abundant, and even today the historical richness of the area increases the charm of this neighborhood.

Island Grove welcomes you to enjoy Florida's beauty. The smell of sweet pollen in the air, warm, starry nights, and easy day trips to springs, lakes, and beaches. Boaters can launch off the banks of Cross Creek at Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings State Park that's only a few miles away.

This town is surrounded by blueberry farms. The Island Grove Wine Tasting House is a beautiful establishment where people come from all over for the famous blueberry wine!

Life is peaceful here and you are able to enjoy a slower paced life just outside of the busier towns.

A quick, gorgeous drive through equestrian farms will take you to Ocala where you will find museums, shopping, restaurants, flea markets, and attractions for families.

In another direction, you will travel through historical Cross Creek to reach the college town of Gainesville in just 25 minutes.

Island Grove is also a central location for reaching popular beaches and natural springs for a day of fun. A day trip to Orlando Florida is another one of the perks of life in Island Grove Florida!
